With the new eighth episode of PFI Talks, we opened the topic of Brexit and retail investment with Robert Wigley, current chairman of UK Finance – a group representing the British financial sector on the UK exit from the EU and former Merrill Lynch head of EMEA. Mr Wigley spoke of antitrust regulations, the growth of the technology sector, the importance of competition and protection of personal data. He also introduced topics from his newly published book called Born Digital.

Robert Wigley – Chairman /UK Finance/
We are pleased to introduce Robert Wigley OStJ, BSc, Hon DBA, FCA, our guest on the eighth episode of PFI Talks. Mr. Wigley spent his banking career with Morgan Grenfell and Merrill Lynch and was EMEA Chairman of Merrill Lynch between 2003 and 2009. Between 2006 and 2009 he was a member of the Court of the Bank of England. He also led a group of industry Chairman and Chief Executives to author a report on the competitiveness of London as a global financial center. In addition to his other engagements, he now holds the position of Chairman of UK Finance and has just published a new book called Born Digital.
