What you will be doing:
- Financial modelling of wind and solar projects, reviewing individual projects, ensuring project profitability and challenging via sensitivity analysis
- Fundamental modelling of the power markets and simulating impacts of decarbonization policies
- Participate in commercial analyses and decision making on all relevant contracts for renewable project development and construction (cooperation agreements, lease agreements, EPC contracts, PPA contracts, FIT/CFD auctions, financing contracts etc.)
- M&A renewables support concentrating on rationale checks, red flags and critical review of input assumptions
- Project management of selected strategic initiatives
- Provide relevant support to the top management in business planning and strategy
What we require:
- University degree with outstanding academic track record in economics, finance, mathematics, business
- Excellent analytical skills and common sense
- Genuine interest in renewables
- We welcome relevant practice during/after studies; the ideal candidate possesses at least 1 – 2 years of experience in some of the following areas: (renewable) energy industry, investment banking, transaction consulting, controlling, financing
- Advanced knowledge of financial modelling, statistics, corporate finance and valuation
- Advanced knowledge of necessary tools (esp. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent English skills – you will communicate with foreign colleagues and partners
- Intermediary German skills – a large share of projects is located in Germany
- Willingness to travel to Germany and other countries where we are present
