Jonáš works as an Associate Partner at BHM group, one of the leading Czech-based investment firms. Prior to joining BHM, Jonáš worked in corporate finance advisory for 6 years. He has participated in various projects for local as well as foreign clients, including a number of successful M&A deals, bond issues or IPOs. He graduated from the University of Economics in Prague and attended study stays at the McCombs School of Business (Texas, USA) and the London School of Economics (LSE).

Tomáš is director at DEKINVEST, a regulated investment company within the DEK Group, one of the largest family-owned companies in the Czech Republic, with annual revenues of €1.4 billion. DEKINVEST manages a portfolio of commercial real estate used by DEK Group companies for their operations, including retail, logistics, and industrial facilities. Since 2015, Tomáš has been focused on structuring investment funds and companies and was, for example, part of the investment banking division at Conseq.

Adam works as a manager in the top tier M&A team in the Czech Republic at KPMG. Adam has been involved in a number of significant transactions, both with domestic and international players, from a project management, financial and legal perspective. Adam graduated from the University of Economics and the Faculty of Law of the Charles University. Beyond transactional matters, he also specializes in company valuations and selected macroeconomic topics.

Josef works as an Investment Manager at PPF, the largest Czech-based investment holding, with a focus on real estate investments & portfolio management with a specialization in hospitality assets. Prior to PPF tenure, Josef worked in a management consultancy firm with an expertise in infrastructure investments and cost optimization for telco and energy sectors. Josef is a graduate of the international CEMS study program with study stays in Vienna and Istanbul.

Michal Stupavsky has 17 years of diverse and analytically oriented professional experience in financial markets, asset management, investment advisory and big international industrial corporations. As the Investment Strategist at the biggest independent asset manager in the Czech Republic Conseq Investment Management he focuses currently especially on global economic analysis, global stock and bond markets valuation, asset allocation, credit risk analysis of corporate bonds with a main concentration on high-yields, lecturing on financial markets outlook and communication with media. As regards equities, Michal is a keen user of the expectations investing approach in general and reverse-engineered DCF model in particular. On top of that, he is the author of the proprietary global equity allocation model. He is a regular guest on the Czech news TV channel CT24. Moreover, he is a passionate writer, co-author of the first Czech book about behavioral finance and the author of the comprehensive investing dictionary. He is a CFA Charterholder and has been supporting CFA Society Czech Republic as a CFA Institute Research Challenge presentation judge over the years. As regards Michal’s role at PFI he is currently the Head of Research with the core responsibility for PFI Monthly magazine. Michal is fluent in Czech, English, German and French.

Nikol works as a Fund Origination Manager at Penta Fund, where she is responsible for fund establishment and operations. Nikol started her career at Conseq, where she worked as a Relationship Manager in the investment banking department. Nikol graduated from the Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies in Prague, where she studied Innovation Project Management with a specialization in Financial Management.

Karolina works as an Investment Banking dealer specializing in large corporates for Komercni Banka (part of Société Générale), where she trades financial derivatives. She just recently graduated from the University of Economics with major in Economics and minor in Data engineering. Karolina also pursued studies in Hong Kong at City University of Hong Kong during her third academic year. Before joining PFI Karolina served as Vice President in popular student association “Klub Investorů” and represented university as the captain of university and faculty volleyball team.

Radek is a Founder and Partner at Grafton Property Partners, leading Czech real estate developer. Prior Forming Grafton Radek spent time in London with leading financial institutions including J.P. Morgan, Man Group, Societe Generale and several others. During his studies at University College London, he spent a year working at the Czech Embassy in London to complement his financial background. Additionally, Radek has spent over 3 years of helping build up one of the largest conference and market inteligence platforms for investing in commercial real estate and distressed assets in CEE, where he helped arranged major institutional and corporate partnerships with the likes of the World Bank and International Finance Corporation.

Ladislav works as a Senior Associate at Tarpan Partners. His previous work experience includes NSG Morison, where he specialized in business and real estate valuation and was involved in several major transactions with international reach. He graduated from the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at the University of Economics in Prague. As part of his studies, he spent a year in Norway at two prestigious economic universities BI Norwegian business school in Oslo and NHH Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen. He also completed a student internship in the USA for Southwestern Advantage focused on business and leadership.

Jakub is Managing director of energy consultancy Eneros and recruitment agency ProdigyHR. Before founding these companies he worked as the Bureau’s head at Prague City Hall where was responsible for management of Prague’s properties and city corporations. Jakub is a graduate of University of Economics in Prague where he also teaches Corporate Finance and Financial Analysis classes.

Leos works as Head of Group Communications at PPF Group, focusing on investor relations in the financial sector. His previous experience included investor communications at Home Credit International and MONETA Money Bank. Before 2015, he used to work for more than two decades as a business journalist for Dow Jones Newswires and the Wall Street Journal, reporting from the Czech Republic, Russia, Slovenia, and Slovakia. From 2017 to 2019, he was the chief economic analyst at the Czech business daily Hospodářské noviny.

Tomas is a sound engineer, editor and cameraman. He has been working in the field of audiovisual production since 2008. He started as a sound engineer and camera technician for Czech Television, TV Nova and TV Prima. As a cameraman he worked on many concerts, festivals and sports TV broadcasts for CS live. Subsequently, he worked for almost 6 years as a news cameraman, editor and editor for iDNES.cz, Aktuálně.cz and Hospodářské noviny. Currently, he works as a TV editor and director at the internet television DVTV and is responsible for the setup and operation of the editing room and live broadcasts. He also runs his own recording studio STUDIOPODCAST.
Monika works in PE fund Oriens managing portfolio companies as well as pursuing new acquisition targets in the region of CEE. She gained experience in Prague in M&A consulting in EY, in a risk department of Raiffeisen Bank and in Strasbourg in the Council of Europe at department of Development Bank CEB. She obtained her Master degrees in corporate finance from Université de Strasbourg and Charles University in Prague.
Adam is currently pursuing his undergraduate degree in Economics and Finance at Institute of Economic Studies. In 2023, he attended Advanced Corporate Finance course at LSE Summer School, and he is set to become exchange student at Bocconi University in the fall of 2024. Adam is interested in investing in the stock market and company valuation.

Peter graduated from the Prague University of Economics and Business, where he obtained a master's degree in Finance and Business Valuation. He started his professional career in the Corporate Finance division of Erste Group. Currently, he is a member of asset management team at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield and has previously worked on a variety of international projects related to real estate investment and development. As part of PFI, Peter contributes to the Real Estate Insights of the Month column.

Diana holds a bachelor's degree in Finance and a master's degree in Business Valuation from Prague University of Economics and Business. During her studies, she participated in two international exchange programs: one at Bilgi University in Istanbul and another at Kansas State University in Manhattan, where she was enrolled in the eminent Finance Scholars Program. Currently, Diana works as an Investment Analyst in the Private Equity team at RSJ Investments. Her responsibilities include analyzing investment opportunities, selecting portfolios, evaluating performance, conducting industry research, preparing fund reporting and actively participating in management and investor meetings. Prior to her current position, Diana gained valuable experience at Boston Consulting Group and Penta Investments. Outside of work, Diana is passionate about sports, particularly martial arts, with a special focus on taekwondo.
Lukáš holds a dual degree from the University of Economics in Bratislava and Nottingham Trent University in Nottingham. Throughout his career, he has held various positions related to financial markets, ranging from financial analyst at a multinational company to portfolio manager at a Slovak securities dealer. Currently, he serves as an Investment Analyst at the Genesis Growth Equity private equity fund and as a project manager at SLOVCA, a nonprofit organization uniting Slovak private equity and venture capital players.

Albert graduated in Economic Theories from Charles University in Prague. He began his career in London at European Bank for Reconstruction and Development at a Funds of Funds team. Later he worked as an investment executive at a private equity fund in London and at a family office based in Prague. Albert currently works at EPH where he is focused on executing investments and managing portfolio companies. With 10 years of experience, Albert has executed investments in Europe as well as in the United States in various industries and sectors (e.g. healthcare, FMCG, retail, entertainment, energy, logistics). Albert speaks Czech, English and German.

Matěj graduated in Finance from the University of Economics in Prague. He began his career in consultancy at PwC, contributing to various local and regional projects across industries within the Valuation and Strategy team. With over 10 years of experience, Matěj currently serves as a Managing Asset Manager at RSJ, specializing in Private Equity (PE) investments. His responsibilities encompass managing PE fund-of-funds, co-investments, and real asset portfolios. Matěj has also pursued further education in the Valuation of closely held companies program conducted by the American Society of Appraisers. Additionally, he occasionally lectures on selected advanced topics related to valuation and PE investing at the University of Economics or the Brno University of Technology. Matej speaks Czech, English and German.

Štěpán is the head of the analytical team at ECONET, the association of winners of the Economics Olympiad. He is also an analyst at the Centre for Economic and Market Analysis (CETA) and a researcher at the Institute of Liberal Studies. Štěpán is the founder of the project Economics Simply ("Ekonomie Jednoduše"), which aims to increase economic literacy among the younger generation. He is the author of a book on the inflation surge in the Czech Republic, which was awarded the prestigious Prize of the Learned Society of the Czech Republic. Thanks to this work, he became the youngest member of the Czech Economic Society. In his spare time, he translates important texts on economics, primarily those by F. A. Hayek, and helps popularize economic science.

Premysl graduated from the University of Economics in Prague and studied also at Johanes Keppler Universität Linz. He has over 16 years of diverse and analytically oriented professional experience in corporate finance and valuation of businesses and other asset classes. His working experience comprises broad variety of valuation and advisory projects for large multinational corporations, SMEs as well as public sector entities in Europe & Middle East. In 2017 – 2020 he was responsible for leading the valuation team in Czech and Slovak Republic as Partner at Grant Thornton. After managing successful merger of teams with former BDO practice he continued as Senior Manager in the combined team. In 2021 he started his own practice as an independent consultant specializing at corporate finance, valuation and strategic management advisory. Premysl is appointed by the Czech Ministry of Justice as Appointed Expert in the field of Investment & Business Valuation. He has been involved in Prague Finance Institute since 2022 as lecturer. Apart from PFI, Premysl occasionally holds lectures at Czech universities and makes his own academic research and publications.
Michal graduated from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®). He has been managing transversal projects in risk & capital management, with more than 15 years of international banking and consulting experience. As a Risk Officer at the European Investment Bank (EIB), he is the EIB’s lead expert on risk appetite framework and recovery planning. Prior to joining the EIB, he worked for Erste Group and PwC in Vienna, focusing on managing capital adequacy and implementing banking regulations. In 2016-18 he served as country manager for Slovakia at the CFA Society Czech Republic. He is passionate about personal finance, occasionally giving pro bono training on financial literacy.

Laurent Millet is a French fund manager with twenty-five years of investment experience. A CFA charterholder, he has built deep expertise in equities and private debt over the past two decades. He began his career in France before working in Italy, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, where he spent eighteen years. At Artemis Investment Management in London, he co-founded and managed two European equity funds built on a disciplined quality-value approach. His investment philosophy combines fundamental analysis with strict valuation discipline to identify attractive long-term opportunities. He now manages a European Consumer Credit Fund that finances non-bank lenders across Europe from Hamburg, Germany, where he has settled with his family.

Miroslav is Chairman and CEO of the asset management part of the WOOD&Company Group, the largest investment bank in Central and Eastern Europe. Prior to joining WOOD, he held top management positions at various financial institutions (VUB Bank, PPF, Verdi Capital) and energy companies (Prazska plynarenska, Teplaren Kosice). He started his professional career at Patria Finance in Prague and then he moved to London where he worked for Merrill Lynch as Director of Equity Research. Miroslav graduated from the Czech Technical University, he is a CFA Charterholder and also studied at the University of Oxford, Said School of Business.

Peter Palovič is an Equity Research Analyst at WOOD & Company, focusing on publicly listed Czech industrial companies and the Romanian utility sector. He holds a Master’s degree in Banking and Corporate Finance from the Institute of Economic Studies, Charles University in Prague. During his studies, Peter was part of the team that won both the local and CEE rounds of the CFA Research Challenge, advancing to the global Top 16 among universities worldwide.

Tomáš Pfeiler is a Portfolio Manager at CYRRUS in Prague. He is a leading Czech expert on capital markets. Tomáš started his career at Generali group as a portfolio analyst with a particular emphasis on fixed income securities. At CYRRUS he is responsible for setting of overall investment strategy. He is a member of Audit Committee at ČSNF SICAV. Tomáš also provides independent corporate finance and investment advisory services for various clients. He is actively engaged in both professional and public debate on various financial markets topics. He graduated from Masaryk University in Brno, majoring in Finance. He is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder.

Martin is a cum laude graduate from the Institute of Economic Studies at Charles University in Prague, with an international academic background encompassing studies in Italy, China, and Russia. Currently, he is Investment Analyst at Energetický a průmyslový holding, a leading European energy group, where he focuses on the energy sector and public investments in retail and media. Martin's previous experience includes internships at the OECD and WHO. He has been involved in Prague Finance Institute since 2022 as Analyst contributing to PFI Monthly research report.

Jana is the Vice Dean for Study at the Faculty of Management and Economics, Tomas Bata University in Zlín (UTB), where she earned her PhD in Economic Policy and Administration with a specialization in Finance. She has a decade of experience in academic teaching and curriculum development in the areas of financial markets, international finance, valuation, and behavioral finance. In 2021, she launched the UTB’s first accredited Behavioral Finance course, which was later recognized by the Society for the Advancement of Behavioral Economics (SABE). She delivers guest lectures on behavioral finance, financial literacy and sustainable finance at foreign universities, including institutions in Germany, Greece, Spain, and Cyprus.
Her background also includes six years of full-time experience in the financial sector, with a focus on asset management, investment advisory, and operational roles connected to the Czech stock exchange and Central Securities Depository. She holds full broker certification, including derivatives.
She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Web of Science and is active in several EU- and nationally funded research projects in finance and education. Alongside other grant projects, Jana currently leads a British–Brazilian research team- a pioneering projects that integrates microfinancing, financial inclusion and artificial intelligence (AI).
She is the author of “Behavioral Finance: Why Do We Make Decisions About Money the Way We Do“, the first peer-reviewed book on behavioral finance published in Czechia. The book combines insights from finance, psychology, and epigenetics to explore the key mental shortcuts and related biases behind everyday financial decisions.
Jana is an active member of the Society for the Advancement of Behavioral Economics (SABE) and has served as Faculty Advisor for the CFA Institute Research Challenge for over ten years. She is also a member of UTB’s behavioral lab (UTB Behavio Team). She was awarded the Atlas Copco Service Prize for her contributions.
At Prague Finance Institute, she contributes behavioral content as the author of the Behavioral Insight of the Month in the PFI Monthly Journal.

Michael holds a master’s degree in finance from Austria and has completed study visits in Germany (Reutlingen), Canada (Vancouver), and at the London School of Economics (UK). He is a CFA charterholder with 8+ years of experience in macroeconomic strategy, portfolio management, and investment research across both public and private markets. Michael currently leads asset allocation strategy at ONE Family Office, an agenda that spans over both public and private markets. Prior to this, Michael was involved in building EnCor Asset Management from the position of portfolio manager and investment committee member, which included introducing new methodologies for managing funds and client mandates. Earlier in his career, he was Chief Investment Analyst at Swiss Life Select Czech Republic, where he guided investment strategy and macroeconomic outlooks for a nationwide advisory network, supporting nearly CZK 20 billion in client assets. In addition to his professional roles, Michael occasionally lectures investment and statistics courses at Trinity Western University in Vancouver, Canada. He is fluent in Czech, English, and German.

With over 17 years of extensive experience in the financial industry, Ondrej is a highly accomplished investment professional with a proven track record in portfolio management, sales, fundraising, and buy & sell side equity & corporate credit coverage. Ondrej has worked with some of the biggest companies globally, including PPF Group, Generali, and KBC Group, gaining valuable exposure to international markets and best practices. As a Czech native, Ondrej is fluent in English and possesses intermediate proficiency in German and Russian. Outside of work, Ondrej enjoys spending time with his three kids and is a passionate sports enthusiast.
