Investment Analyst/Associate
WOOD & Company Renewables sub-fund is hiring an Investment Analyst or Associate to join our team in Prague. We invest in utility-scale renewable energy projects across the EU, focused on Ready-to-Build assets which we develop, construct, and exit through targeted sales to strategic or institutional buyers. Unlike buy-and-hold infrastructure funds, we operate as a developer-drive investment platform, actively shaping the energy transition through hands-on execution and value creation.
The Role
You will work alongside experienced investors and industry professionals across the full investment lifecycle – market screening, financial analysis and modelling, due diligence, transaction execution, reporting/controlling and asset management. Your core focus will be supporting the origination and execution of renewables transactions. This is a front-office role with direct involvement in live projects, active deals, and real-time decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial analysis of investments opportunities in renewables with an emphasis on project economics and capital structuring.
- Build and maintain financial models for valuation, sensitivity and return scenarios.
- Support due diligence across diverse geographies and asset types.
- Assist in transaction execution, coordinating with internal stakeholders, banks, and advisors.
- Contribute to post-close construction monitoring and ensure project delivery aligns with financial and operational targets.
- Track EU power markets, regulatory developments, and broader sector trends.
- Support in marketing/sales of the Renewables sub-fund to existing and potential investors
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Energy or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in investment analysis, investment banking, private equity, project finance, or energy. (We are also open to more senior profiles and will tailor the role accordingly.)
- Strong Excel modelling skills, comfort with project finance and valuation methodologies.
- PowerPoint presentation skills.
- Understanding of renewables (solar, wind, BESS) and/or electricity markets is a strong advantage.
- Sharp analytical mindset, commercial awareness, attention to detail.
- Proactive mindset, solution-based approach.
- Fluent in Czech and English, both written and spoken.
